With TWRP recovery installed, you can perform rooting by flashing SuperSU (Flashable zip file) to your device to further helping your managing your available root permissions.

Not only that, once your device’s rooted by the help of TWRP you can continue roaming to the hacked system of your device. The next thing you can enjoy is flashing non-stock ROMs that are developed and maintained by third party Android developers.

TWRP is not the only custom recovery available, there are other big names one of which is CWM / ClockWorkMod recovery that is also offering great things to optimize our device performances. In the future I will also discuss about how to install this non-stock recovery on this blog. Just wait.

Anyway to flash TWRP recovery to your device, then you will need the following aspects.


  • Your device’s bootloader should already be unlocked.
  • You have a working Windows based computer with USB cable and drivers.
  • Enable your device USB debugging mode to bridge the connection between your device and computer.
  • You also need to install adb and fasboot to your computer.
  • Your device’s battery should be sufficient.

How to install TWRP recovery on any Android devices

  1. You must now place the TWRP img you downloaded earlier to the Adb & Fasboot folder on your computer.
  2. Now launch command prompt within the ADB & Fasboot folder. Do so by pressing these Shift + Right click anywhere isnide the folder and select Open Command Window here.
  3. Now you must connect Android phone of yours to computer, and type this command.

    adb reboot bootloader

  4. In case you are asked for permission just select OK in order to Allow USB debugging.
  5. Once your device is in boorloader mode, type the following command to flash TWRP .img file.

    fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.x.x-xxx.img

  6. Change this name; twrp.img to the name of your recovery image name or just use this name; twrp.img.
  7. Once TWRP recovery installed to your device, just reboot it, use this command to do so.

    fastboot reboot

Now you can install SuperSU on any Android powered device of yours.
